Really pleased to be selected for this forthcoming exhibition as the quality of exhibitor's work is outstanding. I will be alongside 20 other makers/artists at the Artists Gallery and will be there in person on Thursday 12th and Saturday 21st November.
I will be showing a mix of fused glass landscapes and seascapes... new work specifically made for the show, including triptychs, diptychs, winter landscapes and seascapes in a variety of sizes and prices. Take a look at the website theartistsgalleryludlow.co.uk or Instagram feeds a gallery run by artists for more information and DO please come to see me!
This is the first time I shall be showing my Wall Art at the Secret Severn Art Trail and I'm really excited to be have been selected. My work will sit alongside other fabulous artists at the Footprint Gallery in Jackfield (near Ironbridge) - open every day 10am - 5pm. I shall be manning the show on Tuesday 8th 10am - 1pm so please come along and say hello.
The 10 day event combines not only the artwork showing at the gallery but also various open studios in the surrounding Severn valley so there will be lots of creative art to inspire you, all with social distancing and sanitation in mind! Don't forget your facemask.
The small seascapes are a vignette of the greater coastal landscape. I see them as a snapshot of that memorable day spent walking the coast path or sitting on the beach watching the world go by. It can be a solitary, peaceful moment or a family gathering full of chatter and laughter.. but at the moment the vignette is captured it is a very personal perspective.
This group image shows 18 small seascapes that have been heated to approximately 780c and before I 'cold-work' them... grinding and sand-blasting them individually to reveal the final image. This is the fun bit!
